About Me
I’m George, and I cook food that makes people happy. Big flavours, proper portions, no nonsense. That’s what George is Cooking is all about.
I started out at 13, peeling spuds and scrubbing pans after school just to be near a kitchen. Since then, I’ve worked in some cracking pubs and restaurants across Nottinghamshire, including five years as Head Chef at The Plough in Coddington. Now I run my own thing, serving Greek-style street food, bold tapas, and one-off menus for weddings, parties, and pop-ups. Everything’s made fresh, from scratch, and built around flavour.
